Mundy Park Trilogy Challenge: 08 Oct 2016

Trilogy Challenge 2016 Player's Package

The Disc Cellar is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Trilogy Challenge event at Mundy Park on Saturday, 08 Oct 2016 with player pack distribution starting at 10am, and the event starting approximately 10:30am.

For your $35 entry fee you get 3 discs (putter, midrange and driver) and an opportunity to take home one of the big prizes. Division prizes will depend on the normal divisions of those who register, but we’re planning for: Top Overall (Advanced/Pro), Top Amateur (Intermediate or below), Top Woman, Top Beginner (self-identified) and Top Junior. Additional prizes may be awarded.

We will be playing 18 holes (2 x recreational course) and then the top 4 players in each division will play another 9 holes. There will be an instructional clinic after the event for anyone who wants to stay, and The Disc Cellar will be open after the clinic for anyone who wants to browse our full selection. Register through our online store. Even if you can’t attend, you can purchase a player’s package for later pick-up or to have shipped to you.

Day of registration will be available if we still have packages left, but will cost $40.

New Course: The Pas, Manitoba

We’re proud to have been a part of a number of new courses over the years, but this is the farthest East we’ve ventured so far. Congratulations to Sam Meggs and the community of The Pas on embracing Disc Golf.

Like so many Disc Golf projects this one wouldn’t have been possible without a motivated and dedicated local volunteer putting in countless hours. It also wouldn’t have been possible without sponsors and grants. In particular The Pas Community Renewal Corporation (TPCRC) was instrumental in making this new course install possible. Let’s spread the love and take a moment to let them know that their contribution and generosity is appreciated by the Disc Golf Community everywhere!

So give them a like on Facebook, or send them a note, or an email. Here’s some pictures of what they made possible:

MVP Circuit Update

Current registration is 21/30 spots filled for the event, so if you want to guarantee yourself a spot, register ASAP (also you save $5 over the day of registration). List of registered players.

Format: depending on weather and course conditions we will be playing the 10 recreational pads, followed by 10 additional holes using either the recreational pads or the alternate pads. If course conditions/weather make some of the alternate pads inappropriate those holes will either be skipped or played from the recreational pads. We will not be playing a second round, although if participants are interested we can do a break and reseed people after the first 10 holes.

There has been a shipping hiccup, which means that the MVP Circuit discs will be here on time, but the restocking order with lots of other goodies will not arrive until Tuesday.

Glow Wizards (New Arrival)

We’ve restocked on Glow Wizards, but there’s only 30 so they’ll go fast! Stock up while you can. We also have some Glow Lil Wizards, but only 10!

Glow season is just around the corner, so start stocking up before it’s too late.

Good Luck at Provincials!

Provincials is underway this weekend in Kelowna, and we’d like to wish everyone good golf and good luck. Although we’re not on-site this weekend, we are a major event sponsor with a noticeable on course presence.

Find our tee-sign and snap a picture with it to be entered into a draw! Post it to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram and tag us so we know it’s there.

We’d also like to give a special shout out to the Team Disc Cellar members competing this weekend: Wes Eccleston, Derek Wintermans and Jordan Moens.
