Stewart McIsack – let’s get him some press

Some of you are probably following the PDGA 2017 Amateur World Championships and already know that Mission’s Stewart McIsack (#73512) is currently in 7th place after 5 rounds (tied for 4th after 3 rounds).

Let’s see if we can get him some mainstream media coverage:

Let them know you want to hear how Stew is doing through local media too!

Here’s some items that have been recently restocked:

Legacy Pinnacle Phenom First Run

The Legacy Phenom is a fairway driver, rated as speed: 8, glide: 5, turn: -1, fade: 2. Pinnacle edition offers a pearly and translucent look to the plastic, has a slightly firmer feel and provides a little more stability in windy conditions compared to its icon edition counterpart.

The First Run in Pinnacle has an official release date of February 21st, 2017. At this point we’re just gauging interest to see if we should bring some in.

Legacy Pinnacle edition Phenom First Runnote: the Phenom was previously released in Icon plastic, so this is the First Pinnacle Run, but are stamped as First Runs.

Squamish Open TOMORROW

We’re a little over half full for the Squamish Open tomorrow, you can still register online tonight until 6pm, and then you can register on location tomorrow morning as well (there’s an extra $5 charge for that).

Draft course map is:Squamish Open Map

Amateur and Junior pads may be added.

Reminder this is the second lower mainland event in the Left Coast Cup and the third overall.

Good Luck at Provincials!

Provincials is underway this weekend in Kelowna, and we’d like to wish everyone good golf and good luck. Although we’re not on-site this weekend, we are a major event sponsor with a noticeable on course presence.

Find our tee-sign and snap a picture with it to be entered into a draw! Post it to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram and tag us so we know it’s there.

We’d also like to give a special shout out to the Team Disc Cellar members competing this weekend: Wes Eccleston, Derek Wintermans and Jordan Moens.

Albatross at the Beaver State Fling last weekend

Philo Brathwaite got an Albatross (-3) on a hole at the Beaver State Fling last weekend. The 6th hole: 850ft par 5, so the scoring was not because the par was too low. As amazing as all that is, the fact that there’s great video of it is even better. In case you haven’t already seen it:

As a disc golfer, after getting over how awesome that was, you want to know what he threw: 167g Innova Star Destroyer! He’s a member of Innova’s Team Champion it’s not really a surprise, but still nice to know.

The New Normal

The move is over, or at least we’re living in the new house now. Still lots of boxes to unpack and a seemingly infinite number of things left to do. I know where 90% of my inventory is (seriously where is that other 10% hiding?!?!?!?!?), and things are getting back to normal, or the new normal.

For the foreseeable future there will continue to be more things to do than there is time to do it, so it will be a battle of prioritization. The good thing is it will keep us busy. The bad thing is it will keep us from golfing!

We’ve got a bunch of things going on behind the scenes right now, and expect to be making a bunch of announcements over the next month or so.

If we failed to get back to you during the move and still haven’t, please do reach out again. We think we’re caught up, but may be wrong.
