If there’s something that you want that we don’t currently have in stock feel free to let us know and we can make sure we bring it in with our next order.
Just because we’re moving doesn’t mean that new and interesting things aren’t coming in. It just means that we don’t have time to inventory them and add them to the website, or do all the relevant product photography. Here’s a teaser of something that you’ll see available once things settle down post move. Do you know what it is?
As the go to dealer for many Disc Golfers across Canada, we field a lot of questions. One of the most common is: can you get _______. Now sometimes these are impossible asks, where someone is looking for an out of production disc, or something ridiculously specific (but sometimes we are able to pull those off too). Other times, they are just looking for a current production model that we don’t currently have in stock.
As we alluded to in our moving announcement, we’ll be doing some significant restocking post-move. This talk of restocking often brings out more of these special requests, which is especially fun when we’re able to accommodate them.
So here’s the question: are you looking for something specific from Innova?
If yes, we might already have it in stock; we also have a small amount of inventory that is physically here but not in our inventory system at present (never ending task). But failing that, we can order in lots of stuff. In the interest of transparency, what you’re about to see is the order form that us Dealers use. So you’ll see what’s currently in stock from Innova (at least at the time the spreadsheet was last updated), and the granularity with which we are able to order it. The spreadsheet doesn’t include any pricing or anything like that. But if it’s on the form, we can order it for you. Let us know if there’s something you’d like us to bring in for you. I’m not sure how disruptive the post-move unpacking is going to be, so I’m guessing this order will be submitted the week of June 4th, which usually means that stuff will arrive the following week (sometimes there’s a bit more of a delay between order and shipping).
Here’s the spreadsheet: Innova Dealer order sheet 2016-05-19 let us know if there’s something you want us to bring in for you!
The Innova order with all the beautiful custom discs for Provincials will be shipping out on Tuesday or Wednesday this week. Which means that any requests that get to me by 9pm today (Monday) can probably be accommodated just in time for Provincials.
Of course, what you want might already be in stock, so you should check out the on-line store for a full listing of our current Innova disc inventory.
I’m putting together a Prodigy restocking order, stuff will be available starting at the Ogopogo Open in Kelowna. If you’ve got something specific you’re looking for let me know.
Also of interest are some of their more recent releases:
- So that’s the Pa1, Pa4, F1, F2, F3, F5, F7, H1, H2, H3, H4, M1, M2, M3 & M4 in 750 series plastic
- M1 400G: The 2016 model of the M1 is over stable and holds the line of release throughout its flight path and then gradually fades left, for right-handed throwers. This midrange has a flat profile that also makes it a good choice for short side arm throws.
As someone who did French Immersion from K-12, it gives me great pleasure to have just sold some discs to CPF (Canadian Parents for French) for their use at a summer camp.
My next Prodigy order will be arriving in early/mid-April with an order deadline near the end of March for special requests. What follows is written by Prodigy:
Refine your line with the new H3
Produced in our 750 and 400G plastics, the H3 is a stable to slightly over stable hybrid disc with a little less stability and more glide than the H2.
The H3 features a small micro bead that enables a pure flight line eliminating pitching from left to right. The flight characteristics of the H3 are extremely predictable. Like the H1 and H2, the H3 will not be for the faint-at-heart. Soon to be favored by advanced and pro players.
Release Date: March 16, 2015
Premium Plastics in Lightweights are Here
Seven of our top models are being released in a variety of lighter weights. Starting at 140 grams, the following discs will be available in our 400G premium plastic.
D1 | D3 | H1 | F2 | F5 | M2 | M4
Towels Back in Stock
With all that snow melting, players are going to need a lot of towels!
These Microfibre towels have the Prodigy Disc logo. They are super lightweight and extra absorbent. These towels are 12″ x 24″ (30 cm x 60 cm)
Prodigy towels are some of my most requested towels, but have been out of stock from the manufacturer for 6 months. I’ll get some in the April order, but if you want a bunch, or specific colours you should let me know.
I will be placing a Vibram order next week as soon as their glow rubber is released, I will additionally be ordering some of their restocked X-Link Soft. If there’s anything you are interested in, let me know by end of day on Monday, order goes in on Tuesday.
It seems as though there’s an increasing frequency of bags being stolen, and that unquestionably sucks on every level. To ease the pain of the loss, The Disc Cellar is adopting a policy of providing an across the board 15% discount for people who are replacing or replenishing after a theft (there might be some exclusions but I’ll do my best to minimize them).
Also, if people are making insurance claims for stolen discs/bags and need help establishing the value of the goods stolen, I’m happy to try to help.
It’s also a good time to remind people that they should keep a list of what discs they carry in their bag, including weights, colours, plastics and any other relevant distinctions to assist with insurance claims and disc replacement.
Relatedly I’m about to make a number of orders to facilitate replacement: Innova, Dynamic Discs and Legacy.
Working with a number of groups on custom stamp discs, and it looks likely that they will be ordered together, along with a couple of baskets. As such the order will likely ship on pallets, resulting in the lowest shipping prices available.
So if you are looking for an Innova basket, this is a good opportunity to save some money on shipping, or to put together a volume course order.
There also may be a smaller Innova order before the big one, with expected delivery prior to World’s, so if anyone needs something for World’s we can coordinate that as well.
